Hello guys!! Haha today may be the last post for the year of 2009!! Ok, is a 80% chance that today's post is the last one haha. This week is the last week before school reopens, nooooo!! Why does time travel so fast always only when I am having my holidays? Why time so slow when I go to school everyday? Hmm...haha. Well, this week will be the start of my revision for my Common Test 1 in 2010 which is in 2 weeks' time! AHHHH!!! I cannot possibly start my revision next week because I totally will miss lots of lessons next week in school since I am taking 1B(NA class) for sec 1 orientation. AHHHH!!
Hmmm... ....If I got a choice of taking 1B for orientation or staying in class to study, I think I would choose to stay in class. Hehe since next year is the last year I have in BPGHS, I must give it all I got for studies. Well so that is why this week must start le. Furthermore there is a topic of Biology about the eye that has not been taught but then is tested in Common Test 1, it is supposed to be taught next week when school reopens but since I will miss it, I have to study the whole chapter on my very own, boo hoo right? Haha. I hope time practice don't start on the first week when school reopens... otherwise DIE!!! O'levels, O'levels is coming!! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! O'levels!!! Just yesterday I was only in sec 1 haha and now I will be sec 4 le, haiz haiz.
Anyway I wanted to share a moive with you guys that I watched yesterday. Is a japanese movie and the title is "10 promises to my dog". Is a slow-going movie because is just about the life of this dog, so there is no action, romance all that, just love for a dog haha. However the movie is very nice to me because it is touching and is really like reality about people in life and how they look after a dog. The story goes like this:
"There is a girl named Akari. She is 14 years old and she was walking with her childhood friend, Hoshi on the beach. Hoshi is a guitarist but he only plays classic songs because his parents don't allow him to play any other songs. Akari saw a dog on the beach and carried it until the dog's owner came and then took the dog away. From that day on, her desire to have a dog is getting stronger. That night, when she went home, her mother had already finished making her birthday cake since it was her birthday. However her dad wasn't back because he was ,at that moment, engaging in an operation. Akari's dad was a doctor. By the time Akari's dad came home, Akari had already went to bed and that was when Akari's mum told him that she wanted to own a dog. The next day, after Akari came back from school, her mum was not at home and then suddenly there was a golden retriever puppy in her house's garden. She chased it around the garden but soon it ran away out of the house. That was when she received a phone call from her dad saying that her mum was admitted to a hospital.
The next day she went to visit her mum and Akari told her that she saw a puppy in their house. Akari wanted no other dogs but that puppy alone. One day, she managed to catch the puppy with her dad's shirt but that only occured in the house itself and not in the garden because the puppy ran into the house. This was also where Akari found out that her dad was afraid of dogs as he was climbing the sofa and stood at one corner. Soon, Akari's mum was dischared from the hospital and Akari, her mum and the puppy went to the beach where her mum settled down and drew something on the sketchbook. Her mum named the puppy 'Socks' and Akari liked it. Akari's mum then said that if Akari wanted to keep the puppy, she must make 10 promises to Socks, otherwise Socks could not stay with them. Her mum carried Socks and spoke on behalf of her. Socks was a female dog. The promises were,
01) Listen patiently to what I have to say.
02) Trust me. I am always by your side.
03) Play with me a lot.
04) Don't forget what I have feelings too.
05) Let's never fight.
06) If I don't obey you, I have a good reason.
07) You have school and friends, but I have only you.
08) Stay my best friend. We must get along.
09) I'll only live about 10 years. Make every moment count, every moment together.
10) Never forget our life together. When my time comes, please be by my side.
Akari made those promises. Her mum later passed away due to an illness that both Akari's dad and mum kept from her. Akari's dad was promoted and transferred to another hospital and so they had to change houses and schools as well. Before finding a new house, they would stay in a dorm but that dorm had a rule that disallow pets. Thus, Akari had to part with Socks, she left Socks in Hoshi's care and cried as the train left for the dorm. Akari was always alone at home as her father was always working so she was really bored. One time, Hoshi was accepted into a private school in Paris so he had to leave Japan. Akari promised Hoshi that if he was accepted, she would send him off at the airport. Her dad brought her to the airport but on the way there, he received a call and he had to go back to the hospital for an operation. Akari was angry at her dad so she took a taxi to the airport. By the time she reached the airport, Hoshi had left for Paris already. At the same time, Socks escaped from Hoshi's house and somehow went up the train that Akari went onto.
After the operation, Akari's dad said he would quit his job because the job had ruined his relationship with Akari. When he came home, he apologised to Akari and he received a call from the train station manager. Socks was there and they went to fetch Socks. Akari's dad learnt his lesson. However the dorm still did not allow pets, so they sneaked Socks into the dorm. By then, Akari's dad was no longer scared of Socks. Days later, they moved back into their old house since Akari's dad had already quitted his job. 10 years later, Akari had a job for herself and she worked in a zoo and hardly had any time to spend with Socks. Socks was old already. She was also reunited with Hoshi because Hoshi was a pro guitarisst now and had a performance on his own. The zoo that Akari worked at was far away from her home. Her dad became a doctor again and he set up his own clinic beside/inside his house.
Days later, Socks got really old and he could no longer sit up or walk. She could only lie down and stay still. Akari's dad called Akari, asking if she could come home to be with Socks, but currently Akari had an operation to perform on a pet. Her manager sort of overheard her conversation with her dad and said that she could go home. Akari then hurried back home and went to Socks' side. Her dad passed her a sketchbook that her mum once drew on and asked her if she remembered the 10 promises. Akari flipped the pages of the sketchbook and read the 10 promises. As soon as she read promise 9 onwards which is 'I'll only live about 10 years. Make every moment count, every moment together', she started bursting out into tears because she did not spend a lot of time with Socks as the years passed. Just as she finished reading all the 10 promises, Socks closed her eyes and Akari began to cry even more and called out Socks' name and apologising. Socks used the remaining of her strength to lift up her hand so that Akari would hold her hand. Akari thanked Socks for being a good friend to her and just then, Socks passed away. Akari just continued crying.
Days passed and as Akari's dad and her were cleaning Socks' kennel, they found pictures of Socks in them. Socks had hidden them because she loves to have pictures of her. In the midst of the pictures, there was a letter which Akari's mum had written addressing to Akari. Akari remembered the fun times she had spend with her mum and Socks. Days later, Akari married Hoshi.' THE END.
Nice story? Haha. The part when Akari remembered about her promises to her dog is really touching. Well I find the 10 promises are meaningful as well, if you want to own a dog, make sure you make that 10 promises to him/her ya? Haha. A dog has nothing except for his/her owner and family. A dog is also a living thing who as feelings like us. How would you feel if you were being neglected? Haha is exactly for your dog will feel so spend time with him/her if you want to own a dog. A dog's life span is short, so much shorter compared to a human's life span so treasure the times with your dog. Though 10 years may seem long but actually it is not long at all, before I know it, my dog(Joe) is already now 4 years + old. Thinking about the time when Joe will end up like Socks in the movie is really sad. ... ... ...
Anyway this can also apply to us. Life is short, don't waste your time doing things that are so insignificant in life. What is life for? Have you ever wondered about that question? As a teenager, life is not just about hanging out with friends going to arcade or to have fun. Have you wondered why were you even born into this world? Everything that happens has a meaning to it and you have a purpose in your life. God created everyone of us with a purpose for us to fulfill in life. If your purpose is unclear to you, ask God and God will let you know it in due time. But if you do not fill up to your purpose, I can say that your life is meaningless, meaningless to God. Whats imporatant is not what the world sees, is what God sees in your life. The world cannot see your heart but God can. Having praises from Man is nothing compared to the praises that God would give you. Because Man are sinners and God is Holy and has no sins. So think about how you would spend your life haha. Care for your loved ones as life really is short. By doing so, you won't regret as well.
Kk I shall go now le, haha see ya guys!
